Converting power
Power is energy transferred per unit time. One watt is one joule per second. Mechanical horsepower and metric horsepower have different definitions.
How the calculation works
Multiply the source value by its base-unit factor, then divide by the destination factor. For example, 1 kW ≈ 1.34102209 hp.
